Wanted 2 Mark Millar

You've probably heard that Angelina Jolie isn't reprising her role in Wanted 2. Well I don't mind, after all she was shot in the head in the first film! But her leaving could have put the franchise in jeopardy: we all know how easily the studios can get cold feet. But it looks like there is enough confidence in the Wanted franchise to go keep going even without Angelina Jolie. Scriptwriter Mark Millar gave an update to MTV:

"What they're talking about is just moving on with the story and doing it properly. Just bringing in another cool character as this world opens up with all the different fraternities out there all across the world. This could change at any moment, but the last I heard two weeks ago, was that was the plan moving forward."
Mark Millar

New character and new fraternities? Hell yes! but please, the new character has to be at least as deadly sexy as Angelina Jolie!

Wanted 2 Movie

Wanted 2 Movie - Wanted movie sequelThe first Wanted movie was a real box-office success. So no wonder they want to compound this success by producing a movie sequel to Wanted. Director Timur Bekmabetov said that filming for movie Wanted 2 would start during the second half of this year:

Timur Bekmambetov

"In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."
Director Timur Bekmambetov

This new Wanted movie got a quite huge budget: $150 million according to Superhero hype. A lot of marvelous and twisted special effects ahead then! This sounds good to me.

James McAvoy will of course reprise his role in Wanted. But what's more surprising is to hear that Angelina Jolie is likely to be back too... You thought she died at the end of the first film? I did too! But Hollywood is going to prove all of us wrong! Anyway I'll be glad to see her back.

They were curving bullets like crazy in the first Wanted movie. I still consider this as pure genius even if MTV's Myth Busters debunked the thing as impossible.

Any idea what trick (with bullets or whatever) to expect in the movie Wanted 2?
